Capital City University Kano Admission Requirements 2025
Capital City University Kano Welcomes everyone to apply to the university, regardless of their gender, creed, religion, ethnicity, or disability. All applicants must be at least 16 years old to be admitted to Capital City University.
The following criteria must be met to be admitted to Capital City University’s undergraduate programs:
- The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will handle all admissions to the planned university;
- Candidates must receive five (5) credits at the SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant topics at no more than two sittings, including credit passes in English and mathematics, to be admitted to the 100 Level (via UTME); they must also receive acceptable points in relevant subjects on the UTME;
- Candidates must have five (5) SSCE credits, at least two (2) A’ level (or equivalent) passes in pertinent topics, an ND with credit passes, or a good first degree in another field, as applicable, to be admitted by direct entry (200 Level);
- For entrance to the majority of courses, credit passes in mathematics and English are required; those who fulfill the prerequisites will go through a screening interview that the university will perform;
- Transfer students with a minimum CGPA of 1.75 from their prior university will not be accepted by the university until at least the first two years of its existence.
