Godfrey Okoye University (GO University) was established in 2009 by the Very Reverend Father Professor Dr. Christian Anieke for the Catholic Diocese of Enugu.
Located in Nigeria’s Catholic Diocese of Enugu, the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted the university an operating license on November 3, 2009.
This university is the first in Africa to be owned by a Catholic diocese.
By the end of 2012, 1,200 students had been admitted to the institution, which had begun with 215 in 2009.
A week-long celebration of GOU’s first convocation began on December 1, 2013, and on December 7, 2013, 100 students received their bachelor’s degrees in the final ceremony.
GOU belongs to the CVC or Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities.

1. O-Level Results: The selected course of study requires five credits in English and mathematics, among other disciplines.
2. JAMB score: Minimum JAMB score: possess the minimum score that your faculty requires.

Godfrey Okoye University requires a 30,000 Naira acceptance fee for the 2025-2026 academic year.
