G Fresh Al’Ameen: I traveled to Lagos State on behalf of our organization and spent roughly five months trying to sell my CDs and get a potential record deal by visiting various streets and locations in Lagos, such as Apapa, Lekki, Shoprite, and many more.
One of the difficulties I had in Lagos was meeting MI Abaga in Chocolate City. He agreed to assist me during a session, but Teddy, a producer in Chocolate City, declined to record me for unspecified reasons.

G Fresh Al’Ameen: Although we are unable to bring Kano to Lagos at this moment, I am confident that Lagos will eventually come to Kano, as Kano is a talent hub.
It is only a question of time. We are currently focusing on organizing our affairs, and trust me when I say that the North is currently dominating the hip-hop scene and will do so as long as more talented people come forward.

G Fresh Al’Ameen: Despite the fact that hip-hop is expanding quickly in the north, our businessmen and women must make investments in the industry.

I once knew a very successful producer who worked with Wizkid and Flavour. Mastercraft is his name.
When I met with his manager, he advised me to pay a studio session fee of seven hundred thousand naira in order to collaborate with Mastercraft.
Regretfully, I was unable to pay that sum. I’m aware that all of my suffering would disappear if I worked with a producer like Mastercraft on just one song, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Weekend Magazine: Is the fact that you are from the north contributing to the fate you experienced?
G Fresh Al’Ameen: The fact is that people will treat you with disdain no matter where you go if you don’t have support from your home community. I
If I were from Port Harcourt, I could put together a performance there for more than a thousand people, and many of them would agree that he is talented.
However, we don’t actually have that luxury here in Kano. This is how simple it is. We need to become well-known in Lagos since, in that city, it is assumed that an African artist does not exist at all.
Weekend Magazine: In your musical career, what are some of the most bitter events you have encountered thus far?
G Fresh Al’Ameen: We’ve experienced our fair share of negative situations.
This served as the basis for the album “No Pain, No Gain.” It discusses these encounters and the things we went through, particularly while living on the streets.
But in spite of everything, we decided not to give up because we believe this is what we can accomplish with our lives.
Weekend Magazine: In the foreseeable future, where do you see the northern hip-hop scene?
